Jeffrey Kaiser – Plano, TX

I grew up in a big happy family in Ohio. Due to economic conditions, I moved to Texas in 1982. In 1990, I got married and together we raised a beautiful son and daughter. For my 53rd birthday, my kids bought watercolors for me, knowing that I had no excuse with them out of the nest.

I was a self-employed hands-on carpenter for 30 years. During those years I always wanted to paint and was told by a few customers that I was an artist. What things look like (aesthetics) mean the most to me in design.

Most of my artwork is landscapes. Light, shadows, and colors in nature are what attract my vision to paint. Painting En Plein Air is my favorite, although that is not always possible. Other works are from photos and imagination.

I am a member of the Southwest Watercolor Society and Plano Art Association.
