Babette DeLonard – Glendale, AZ

Years ago, I arrived at my vocal lesson with a severe cold. As I started singing, I found that my voice resonated with a clarity and richness I had never experienced. My voice instructor referred to this phenomenon as “singing above it.” A powerful reminder of our ability to transcend physical limitations and tap into a deeper connection with our spirit. In 1998, I was diagnosed with RRMS, and over time, my condition progressed to SPMS. This progression brought significant changes to my life, eventually landing me in a wheelchair. Since 2010, I discovered sculpting both my conscience and unconscious dreams in clay and unconventional mediums including posterboard. Through art, accompanied with laughter, and unwavering determination to rise beyond physical constraints, I remain committed to “singing above it,” living a life that is both fulfilling and with heartfelt inspiration.
