Black History Month: Horace Pippin

In honor of Black History Month, this virtual art tour will focus on Horace Pippin, an African American army veteran who, after being wounded in World War I, discovered a passion for art and used it as a coping mechanism for both his physical injuries and psychological trauma. Though he was mostly self-taught, his art is now featured in museums around the world.

Art expert and docent at the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia, Joe Caliva, will return once again to highlight the works by Pippin featured at the Barnes Foundation and from other museums as well.
