Webinar – Enjoy the Beat: Music, Brain Health, and MS
Monday, June 17, 2024 – 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Join MSAA to “Enjoy the Beat” on this hour-long webinar to learn more about the health benefits of music, and the impact of music therapy in the MS experience.
Did you know that when we listen to or play music, we give our brain a total workout? Music plays an important role in our lives. It stirs our emotions and stimulates new connections in our brains. Research also suggests that music can benefit our physical and mental health in numerous ways.
During our “Enjoy the Beat” program, MS specialist Dr. Augusto Miravalle and MS advocate Brittany Quiroz explore how the brain and music work in harmony and discuss the importance of brain health.

She utilizes her ability to be transparent about her disease and her talents as a writer, speaker, artist, singer-songwriter, and content creator to advocate and to bring love and acceptance to others living with MS. Having grown up as a singer and songwriter, Quiroz knew that music would always be a part of her life and it is now a crucial part of her MS experience.
