She has been a principal investigator in clinical trials for MS therapeutics and has been involved with developing a treatment algorithm for symptom management in MS. She is the medical director of the MS and Neuroimmunology Center at UT Health Austin\, and the clinical practice of Dell Medical School. Dr. Freeman serves as site principal investigator for the PCORI-funded DELIVER-MS study comparing the effectiveness of early intensive versus escalation approaches for treating relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis. Dr. Freeman is the founder of the Texas MS Consortium\, a network of clinicians\, researchers\, advocacy groups\, and people with MS aiming to eliminate disparities in MS care and is also a member of MSAA’s Healthcare Advisory Council.

Dr. Amezcua is the founder and principal investigator of the Alliance for Research in Hispanic MS (ARHMS)\, a groundbreaking consortium addressing MS disparities in Hispanic/Latinx populations through genetic and social/environmental research. She is also active in national and international MS research and advocacy efforts. Dr. Amezcua is a nationally recognized MS champion and pioneer in Hispanic/Latinx MS research and culturally relevant care\, serving as Co-Chair of MSAA’s Hispanic/Latinx Advisory Board. \n\n\n\nJulián Gamboa\, Social Media Expert and Community Member/Advocate\, earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of California\, Berkeley\, and pioneered Telemundo Los Angeles’s first organic social strategy for live streaming and celebrity advertising. He later taught one of the university’s first courses on social media. In late 2021\, Julián was diagnosed with MS. After connecting with MSAA\, he began volunteering and now serves on MSAA’s Board of Directors as well as their Hispanic/Latinx Advisory Board. Julian advocates for Hispanics living with MS\, with a special focus on younger generations and newly diagnosed patients.

She completed her neurology residency at Kettering Medical Center in Dayton\, Ohio. Dr. Nolan also completed a fellowship focused in MS\, neuroimmunology\, and spasticity management at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus\, Ohio. While her curiosity regarding neurology stemmed from a high school summer program\, multiple sclerosis holds a special place in her life as she was diagnosed with relapsing MS in September 2009. Her current interests include patient advocacy and social awareness of multiple sclerosis in the Black community.

She completed her medical training at Jefferson Medical College\, followed by a neurology residency and MS fellowship at USC\, and holds a Master’s in Clinical\, Biomedical\, and Translational Science. She is the founder and principal investigator of the Alliance for Research in Hispanic MS (ARHMS)\, a groundbreaking consortium addressing MS disparities in Hispanic/Latinx populations through genetic and social/environmental research. She is also active in national and international MS research and advocacy efforts. Dr. Amezcua is a nationally recognized MS champion and pioneer in Hispanic/Latinx MS research and culturally relevant care\, and serves as Co-Chair of MSAA’s Hispanic/Latinx Advisory Board.

She is considered a subject matter expert in Neurology\, Multiple Sclerosis and Health Disparities. Dr. Williams has over 15 years of experience in the field of Multiple Sclerosis. She received her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology from Emory University in Atlanta\, GA\, and received her Doctor of Medicine Degree from Morehouse School of Medicine also in Atlanta\, Georgia. She completed her Internal Medicine Internship\, Neurology Residency\, and Multiple Sclerosis Fellowship at Georgia Health Sciences University (formerly MCG) in Augusta\, GA\, where she received numerous accolades and served as Chief Resident of the Neurology Residency Program.

She earned her medical degree from the Georgia campus of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Suwanee\, Georgia\, and her master’s in public health from Emory University. She completed her neurology residency at Kettering Medical Center in Dayton\, Ohio. Dr. Nolan also completed a fellowship focused in MS\, neuroimmunology\, and spasticity management at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus\, Ohio. While her curiosity regarding neurology stemmed from a high school summer program\, multiple sclerosis holds a special place in her life as she was diagnosed with relapsing MS in September 2009. Her current interests include patient advocacy and social awareness of multiple sclerosis in the Black community.

Dr. Crayton grew up in Los Angeles\, CA but came east to attend medical school at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. After leaving a fellowship in MS at Georgetown\, she established the MS Center of Greater Washington in 2007\, the only full-time non-academic MS center in the mid-Atlantic region. Dr. Crayton lectures to patients as well as physicians\, nationwide and globally\, as part of her mission to educate and improve the lives of those living with MS. Dr. Crayton is also a member of both MSAA’s Healthcare Advisory Council and African American Advisory Board.
