Annamarie Prono – New York, NY

I’ve lived with MS since 1992. I am a registered architect, and work as a construction manager in New York City. Due to fatigue, my work schedule was reduced from full to part time.

A pilgrimage to the Holy Land in 2014 reawakened my creative spirit, and I have since been making art for the glory of God. I study icons, and various forms of sacred art. Watercolor is my preferred medium, though I have not been formally trained in this painting technique. I created two sketchbooks for the Brooklyn Art Library. One is dedicated to religious icons and the other, which was completed this year, is a collection of angels, titled, “HARK! ANGELS!” I find peace when drawings and painting, which enables me to clear and quiet my mind.
