Susan Bloom – Plainwell, MI
In 1996 I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis which allowed my life to take a new direction. I was able to slow down from my hectic life and began oil painting – something I always wanted to pursue but never had time. I always loved to draw animals when I was growing up. I am self-taught and focus largely on wildlife to increase conservation awareness for animals and their habitats. Along with wildlife, I also paint various topics including landscapes, domestic animals, still life and, of course, dogs. My relationship with Multiple Sclerosis is love/hate. I hate having this disease but it has also freed me to pursue an interest I love.
