Paul J. Wallace – Indian Creek, IL

I was diagnosed with MS in 1987, I did not begin painting until 2008 after taking art classes at a local junior college. Initially, I was just fascinated that I could paint anything that looked like a real image. As time has gone on I have given more thought to my subject matter and painting has become more therapeutic.

The water color paintings are of my therapy horse, Santana, and a mother holding her infant. Each represents changes in my life which have helped me realize what a lucky Man I am.

The impact of hippotherapy on my life has been amazing and has opened up my mind on what can be done with this type of therapy.

The Mother and Infant recognizes the pride I feel of being blessed to have six grandchildren.

The waterfall is my first attempt at oil painting and reflects on the majesty and power of nature.
