Martha Johnson-Bullard – Priest River, ID

My name is Martha Johnson-Bullard. I was diagnosed in 1990 with RRMS when I was 30 years old. I am now 48 years old. I have a positive outlook for life and believe that you should never give up. Over the years things in general become a challenge, but I never give up. I try to do what I can in life little by little. Or as my grandmother would tell me “poco a poco”.

I struggled over the years to accept takingMS drugs. I started with Avonex, then Copaxone, then Rebif and now I am currently on Tysabri. Which has worked the best for me so far. So my artwork shows part of that evolution. I have a bachelors in fine arts and have training and the skill to do art, so I thought, how can I share my ideas and help others who also have this disease? That is why I am wanting to share my work with you all. I love abstract art andworking with acrylic paint. My work always incorporates some thing to do with the drug I am taking. Whether it is syringes or IV tubes. I like to add objects to my art work to help show people what they will go thru if they take this drug.

I never give up, I just keep trying!
